AFRICANA HOTEL, Dubai

The hotel sits in a busy area with many restaurants within a 5-minute walk, including Taste of Sichuan and Filli Cafe. Baniyas Metro Station (Exit 2) provides direct access to Dubai Airport (4 km) and other city landmarks. World Trade Centre Station is 8 km away. The immediate neighbourhood is lively, which can bring street noise, but the metro and local shops make it practical for short stays. No on-site parking is available; paid street parking (5 AED/hour) is the only option.

Rooms come with a flat-screen TV, satellite channels, a fridge, a wardrobe, and an electric kettle. Each private bathroom has a shower, free toiletries, and slippers. Soundproofing is present, but street noise and sounds from adjacent rooms can still be noticeable. Condition and cleanliness vary significantly: some units show signs of wear such as broken furniture, stained linens, and pest issues (cockroaches and bed bugs have been found). Air conditioning and smart TV functionality are inconsistent. For a better experience, request a room on higher floors and inspect upon arrival. The hotel offers cots for infants and family rooms.

The hotel does not operate its own restaurant or serve breakfast. However, the surrounding area within 0.5 km offers a variety of cuisines: Taste of Sichuan (Chinese), Pak Liyari (Pakistani), Al Kabab Al Afghani (Afghan), Filli Cafe (coffee and snacks), and The Gourmet Shop. Liwan Restaurant is 1 km away. Guests needing meals should plan to eat out or order from nearby delivery options. There is no on-site bar or room service dinner, but grocery deliveries (free) are available for self-catering.

The 24-hour reception provides express check-in/out, concierge, tour desk, and private check-in/out. Free WiFi is available throughout. Luggage storage is complimentary. Daily housekeeping is free; dry cleaning, ironing, and laundry are charged separately. Business facilities (business centre, fax/photocopying, meeting/banquet rooms) incur additional fees. Security includes 24-hour CCTV, fire alarms, and a safety deposit box. The property has a lift, is non-smoking throughout, and offers soundproof rooms. Cots are provided on request. No pets are allowed.
