SLEEPHOTELS COSMOS, Hamburg

Hamburg Central Station is a 6-minute walk away, providing direct rail and S-Bahn connections across the city and to Hamburg Airport (10 km). Inner Alster Lake is 1 km away, and Miniatur Wunderland is 3 km from the hotel. Steindamm is a lively, densely populated street with a high concentration of people, businesses, and street activity 24 hours a day. The immediate area around the hotel has a significant visible presence of street-level drug use and sex work, especially at night. Pedestrians on the street encounter frequent shouting and occasional disturbances. The walk from the station to the hotel passes through this environment. Rooms that face the street receive continuous noise from traffic, sirens, and people well into the early morning. The hotel is within walking distance of Mönckebergstrasse shopping street (12 minutes) and many restaurants and supermarkets.

Room types include double, family, quadruple, and dormitory options. Family rooms have up to 4 beds and good space for groups. Each room has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a work desk, and heating. All rooms feature a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. The carpeted floors and soft carpet wall covering can trap dust. There is no air conditioning or in-room fans. In warm weather, rooms become hot and stuffy. Opening the window for ventilation brings in high street noise from the busy road. The bathroom uses an automatic motion-sensor light that may switch off while showering. Rooms lack tea/coffee-making facilities, a fridge, and wardrobe or chair. Two thin pillows are provided. Rooms on lower floors and facing the street receive the most noise; rooms higher up or at the rear are quieter. The rooms are newly renovated and generally clean, with daily servicing including made beds and fresh towels after one night.
