APA HOTEL IKEBUKURO EKI KITAGUCHI, Tokyo

The hotel is situated just north of the station, an area known for its lively nightlife, bars, and izakayas. The station itself provides seamless connections via JR, the Tokyo Metro, Tobu, and Seibu lines, making it a practical hub for exploring the city. Sunshine City, with its arcades, aquarium, and anime shops, is a 10-minute drive or a short bus ride away. Ginza Station is about 12 km from the hotel. Several convenience stores (Lawson, Don Quijote) and a wide variety of restaurants and bars are within 0.5 km, providing plenty of dining and shopping options without needing to travel far. English-speaking staff are available at reception.

Each room is fitted with an original APA mattress designed for optimal weight distribution, air conditioning, heating, an electric kettle, and a fridge. Windows offer city views, and a trouser press is provided. Rooms come with slippers, sleepwear, and free toiletries. Some rooms have the bed positioned against a wall, meaning the occupant on the inside may need to climb over the other person - couples sharing may want to consider this when booking. Space is compact but functional; storage under the bed is available for suitcases. Daily housekeeping replenishes towels and yukata robes. The room's quietness is generally good.

The wellness facilities are limited to massage treatments, which require an extra fee. There is no pool, gym, sauna, or spa on site. For leisure, the hotel's prime location next to Ikebukuro Station provides easy access to the surrounding entertainment and shopping districts, including Sunshine City and the vibrant nightlife area north of the station. The coin laundry on the first floor is a practical convenience for longer stays.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, private check-in/out, and luggage storage at no charge on the day of check-in and check-out. The hotel accepts various payment methods: American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, UC, UnionPay, and MasterCard. Payment can be made in advance online or at check-in (cash or card). Parcel delivery acceptance is possible before arrival, and the Airporter luggage delivery service can send bags to the airport from the hotel. A coin-operated laundry is located on the first floor (¥300 per wash, ¥100 per 30-minute dry). Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms. Business facilities (fax/photocopying) and cleaning services (dry cleaning, ironing) are available for an additional charge. No pets are allowed.
