ARGO HOTEL - KINGS CROSS, London

Rooms range from single to quadruple, all featuring a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Double and twin rooms are notably compact; floor space can be very limited, often just enough to move around the bed, and some rooms have the sink located in the sleeping area rather than inside the bathroom. Wardrobe space is limited to a few wall hooks and a small hanging rail - no full wardrobe is provided. All rooms include a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities (with free refills on request), and a desk fan. Single rooms are especially small but functional for one person. Quadruple rooms (with three beds) offer more space and are available on the basement, first and second floors. No room has air conditioning, and windows are single-glazed in many cases; rooms facing the street can be noisy, while rooms at the back or on higher floors tend to be quieter. Basement rooms may feel darker and more humid. Heating is via radiators, but some windows do not seal fully, allowing drafts. The property has no lift and all rooms are reached by narrow stairs.

The breakfast is a continental buffet offering juice, fresh pastries, pancakes, cheese, fruits, and hot drinks. It is a basic, cold-style breakfast rather than a cooked option. The breakfast room can feel cramped when several guests dine at the same time. For those who prefer a wider variety or a later meal, numerous cafés and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including Pizza Union, The Gilbert Scott, and many others along the main streets near King's Cross.

The 24-hour reception allows check-in and luggage drop-off before check-in and after check-out at no additional cost. Luggage is stored in the reception area (no dedicated storage room). Daily housekeeping is included and will refresh towels and restock tea/coffee supplies upon request. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, although some users report variable connection strength in certain rooms. Cots are provided on request subject to availability. No parking is available on site. The hotel has key card access, CCTV in common areas, 24-hour security, and smoke alarms. The property is non-smoking throughout, with a designated smoking area. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Maestro, and MasterCard.

The hotel is focused on providing practical accommodation with no gym, pool, spa, or leisure facilities. The nearby Argyle Square park offers a green space for relaxation, and the excellent transport links make it easy to reach London's museums, theatres, shopping streets, and green spaces like Hyde Park.
