The People Mover monorail to the cruise terminal is five minutes away, and the ATVO airport bus stops at Piazzale Roma (€8, 25 minutes to Marco Polo). Water bus stops at Guglie (15-20 minutes on foot) or Piazzale Roma connect to the Grand Canal and St. Mark's. The hotel is in a less congested area than the tourist core, yet is within a 10-minute walk of San Rocco Museum and Basilica dei Frari; Campo Santa Margherita and Rialto Bridge (2 km) are easily reached on foot. Numerous restaurants and bars are within 300 metres, making it easy to find a meal after a day of sightseeing.

Room sizes are compact - typical for a historic Venetian building - and some are described as very small, especially the bathrooms. Single rooms are suited for solo travellers on a budget; double rooms with a canal view are popular but can be cramped for two people with luggage. Some rooms have been recently renovated with modern bathrooms and dual-aspect windows. A fridge is provided in every room, and an electric kettle is available on request. Rooms facing the canal offer classic Venetian views but may experience boat noise, especially at night; those at the back are quieter. The hotel does not have rooms with a balcony. Heating is effective, sometimes too warm, and opening windows can let in mosquitoes. Mattresses and pillows are generally comfortable.
