ASTORIA SUITE APARTMENTS, Bologna

The apartments sit in a mixed residential and commercial zone, giving easy access to both the railway station and the historic core. The main square and major landmarks are a direct 15-20 minute walk, while the train station is within 5-10 minutes - ideal for travellers arriving by rail or planning day trips. A bus stop is steps away, and the property's location just outside the ZTL (limited traffic zone) simplifies car use. Parking (€20/day) is available at a nearby location but cannot be reserved. A supermarket and minimarket are adjacent, and several restaurants, bars, and pizzerias are within a 2-3 minute walk, providing real convenience for self-catering and dining out.

The breakfast offering is a good value, filling option for starting the day before exploring, but those seeking a wider variety may also find many cafés, pizzerias, and bakeries within a short walk. The apartment's fully equipped kitchen also allows self-catering. There is no restaurant or bar on-site, but the neighbourhood has abundant dining choices within 2-3 minutes on foot, including well-regarded pizza places and bistros.

Free bike rental provides a practical way to cover the short distance to central sites or explore the wider city on two wheels. The on-site fitness centre adds an indoor exercise option. No pool, spa, or leisure facilities exist, so the leisure focus is on active, independent exploration using the bikes or walking.

WiFi is available free throughout the apartments and noted as functional. Luggage storage is available at Hotel Astoria both before check-in and after check-out, allowing uninterrupted exploration. The reception at the partner hotel is 24-hour, enabling late-night key collection (e.g., after midnight), and staff speak multiple languages. The building has a lift, aiding accessibility. Business facilities include free fax/photocopying. Parking is possible at a nearby location for €20 per day but cannot be reserved - street parking is a potential alternative. A €50 cash deposit is collected upon arrival and returned at check-out.
