Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) is a 5-minute walk, providing direct rail and S-Bahn connections across the city and to the airport. The underground station is even closer. The Oktoberfest fairgrounds are a 4-minute stroll. The pedestrian zone and Marienplatz are about 10-15 minutes on foot. The neighbourhood has a mix of hotels, international restaurants (e.g., Tarboosh Muenchen, Taverna Arkadi, Zur Festwiese within 0.5 km), and a grocery store open until 3:00 AM. The area is generally safe, though side streets can feel less lively late at night.

Room sizes are small, especially for two people; single rooms measure roughly 8-10 m2. Some rooms have parquet floors. Double beds are narrow and may be flush against one wall, making it difficult for the inner person to get out without disturbing the other. Storage is minimal: a small closet and desk, but little space for open luggage. Bathrooms are private with shower (some with poor drainage, causing water to spread). No air conditioning; windows open for ventilation, but street-facing rooms suffer from traffic noise. Rooms at the back are quieter. The hotel uses traditional keys (heavy, left at reception when going out). Some rooms show wear (stained walls, dated furniture), while others have been renovated. Linens are cleaned regularly; towels are thin. No tea/coffee facilities in rooms.

Breakfast includes bread, cold cuts, cheese, boiled or scrambled eggs, tomatoes, coffee, and juice. The buffet is adequate for a budget start. The hotel does not have a lunch or dinner restaurant, but packed lunches can be arranged.
