ATLAS CITY HOTEL, Munich

The hotel sits in a central area between the main railway station and the historic centre. Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) is a 5-minute walk, providing direct rail and S-Bahn connections across the city and to the airport. The underground station is even closer. The Oktoberfest fairgrounds are a 4-minute stroll. The pedestrian zone and Marienplatz are about 10-15 minutes on foot. The neighbourhood has a mix of hotels, international restaurants (e.g., Tarboosh Muenchen, Taverna Arkadi, Zur Festwiese within 0.5 km), and a grocery store open until 3:00 AM. The area is generally safe, though side streets can feel less lively late at night.

Breakfast includes bread, cold cuts, cheese, boiled or scrambled eggs, tomatoes, coffee, and juice. The buffet is adequate for a budget start. The hotel does not have a lunch or dinner restaurant, but packed lunches can be arranged. A range of dining options is within walking distance: Italian, Greek, Bavarian, and Middle Eastern restaurants within 0.3-1 km. Vending machines in the lobby offer drinks and snacks around the clock.

The fitness centre is small but equipped with basic cardio machines and free weights. The hammam and massage treatments are available for an additional charge and can be booked at reception. No pool or sauna is present. These facilities are practical for relaxation after a day of sightseeing, though not a primary reason to choose the hotel.
