BARCELONA & YOU HOSTEL SAGRADA FAMILIA, Barcelona

The hostel sits just two blocks from Barcelona's most famous landmark, placing you within easy walking distance of the Sagrada Família, local cafés, restaurants, and a supermarket. The nearby metro station connects directly to Plaza Catalunya and the city centre in about 15 minutes. Airport access takes roughly 30 minutes by taxi or 45 minutes by Aerobús and metro. Though central, the street can be lively at night, especially with windows open, and the area scores an excellent 9.4 location rating.

The hostel has three shared rooms totalling 19 beds - mixed-gender dorms for 4 or 11 people, plus a female-only 4-bed dorm on request. Each bed includes linens, a pillow, blanket, curtain, light, and plug. Lockers are provided free of charge with a key at check-in. Rooms have air conditioning and heating, though some units can become stuffy if the AC malfunctions, and street-facing rooms may pick up noise. Windows can be opened for a breeze, but this also lets in street sounds. The 4-bed room is quieter, while the 11-bed room is larger and often used by solo travellers. The upper bunks require a bit of agility to access.

The hostel does not have its own restaurant or bar. Instead, a fully equipped shared kitchen - with a hob, fridge, microwave, cutlery, and cookware - lets you prepare your own meals. Complimentary coffee, tea, and sometimes biscuits are available around the clock. Several cafés and restaurants are within a 3-5 minute walk, including La Herradura Cafe Bar and Colombia Pan y Sabor (0.5 km), and a supermarket is just across the street for groceries. Breakfast is not provided, but the kitchen makes it easy to prepare your own.

There is no swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre on the property. Leisure is focused on the shared lounge and TV area, where board games and puzzles are available, and a guitar is sometimes present. The intimate size and common space encourage socialising with other travellers. The location means the Sagrada Família and surrounding streets are your primary leisure setting, with many attractions within walking distance.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout. Daily housekeeping keeps the rooms and bathrooms clean, with bathrooms cleaned multiple times per day. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or after check-out. A tour desk provides maps and recommendations. The hostel uses key-card access and a security code for entry, and has CCTV in common areas. No parking is available. There is no lift - access requires climbing 16 steps. Towels are not included but can be rented. The hostel accepts American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro, and MasterCard. Reception is staffed only 12:00-14:00 and 17:00-21:00, but self-check-in is available outside these hours.
