Located in an industrial area with auto shops and garages, Auberge St. Jacques is a practical base for car and public transport users. The bus stop outside offers routes 104 and 90 to Vendôme Metro (orange line) in about 8 minutes. From there, the city centre is easily reachable. Several restaurants, cafes, and a Tim Hortons are within a 15-minute walk, and grocery stores are nearby. Mount Royal Park is 10 km away, and Carrefour Angrignon shopping centre is 5 km from the property.

The motel offers twin rooms with two beds, queen rooms, and rooms with an in-room spa bath (jacuzzi). Flooring varies between carpet and hardwood - it is possible to request a room with hardwood floors during booking. Soundproofing is minimal, so noise from neighbouring rooms, plumbing, and the road may be heard; an upper-floor room away from the road is recommended for light sleepers. Beds are generally firm, and pillows are thin. Some rooms feature a table with chairs or bar stools. Air conditioning and heating are provided, but the units can be noisy. All rooms have a private bathroom with toiletries; hair dryers are available upon request if not already in the room.
