PACIFIC HOTEL FONDARY, Paris

The hotel sits on a quiet street in the 15th arrondissement, a residential area with bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants just steps away. Three metro lines (M6, M8, M10) are within a 5-minute walk, allowing direct connections to Gare Montparnasse (via line 6), Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (20-minute metro ride), and Parc des Princes (10-minute drive). For airport transfers, the most budget-friendly route from CDG is the RER B to Denfert-Rochereau then metro line 6 to Dupleix (approx. 1 hour, €12). Taxi fares are around €62 from CDG and €35 from Orly, depending on traffic. The location is ideal for visitors who want to be close to central sights but prefer a calm neighbourhood with local amenities.

Room sizes are typical for Paris; several are described as compact, especially the budget doubles. The hotel offers twin, double, triple, quadruple and family rooms, with family rooms featuring an interconnecting door. Triple rooms include a balcony with inner courtyard views. All rooms are non-smoking, carpeted, and equipped with a fan (no air conditioning). Windows open for ventilation, and some rooms have Juliet balconies. Noise from neighbouring rooms and the street can be audible; a room away from the road is recommended for lighter sleepers. A safe is available in some rooms. No tea/coffee-making facilities are in the room, but a kettle can be borrowed from reception. Iron and ironing board are available on request during the day.

Breakfast is a small buffet with bread, croissants, pain au chocolat, butter, jam, Nutella, cereal, yogurt and hot drinks from a machine. It is paid separately at reception each morning; no advance booking is needed. The breakfast room also offers free coffee, hot chocolate and water throughout the day. For other meals, the surrounding streets are lined with bakeries, cafes, and restaurants - options include Italian, Vietnamese, and French bistros within a 5-minute walk. This makes it easy to find a meal without needing a restaurant on site.
