BACCARAT HOSTEL, Nice

The location around the station puts the hostel within a 3-minute walk of the Nice-Ville station, making day trips to Cannes, Monaco, Villefranche-sur-Mer, and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat straightforward. The express bus line 99 from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport stops outside the station, simplifying airport access. Tram line 1 stops right in front of the hostel, and line 2 (9 minutes on foot) connects directly to both airport terminals. The beach is a 15-minute walk away, Castle Hill is 2 km from the property, and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral is 1 km away. Several restaurants and supermarkets are within a 1-minute walk.

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Dormitories have bunk beds with lockable storage underneath (bring your own lock), but there are no curtains around the beds, and power outlets are very limited-often only two for an entire dorm, none within easy reach of all beds. Private rooms may include a balcony and private bathroom, though some bathrooms are shared. The building is older; some rooms show signs of wear, with mould in bathrooms, damaged walls, and a musty smell reported in some areas. Noise from plumbing and squeaky doors on the first floor can be disruptive at night. Soundproofing is present in some rooms. Daily housekeeping is provided, and fresh bed linen and towels are changed daily.

There is a fully equipped shared kitchen with a hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dining area, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. A bakery adjacent to the hostel provides fresh bread and pastries for a simple breakfast. Numerous restaurants, including Gusti, La Broche, Royal Kashmir, Wok 2 Nice, and McDonald's, are within a 0.5 km walk, offering a wide range of cuisines at reasonable prices.

Boating activities are available in the surrounding area. The beach is a 15-minute walk away, and the Promenade des Anglais and Castle Hill are within easy reach for walking or cycling.
