Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and other Gaudí landmarks are within a 10-minute walk, and the Gothic Quarter and Barcelona Cathedral are a short stroll away. Passeig de Gràcia station, with metro lines L2, L3 and L4, is a 5-minute walk, and the Aerobus to El Prat Airport departs from Plaça Catalunya. El Prat Airport is about 25 minutes by car, and the cruise port is roughly 15 minutes by taxi. The surrounding Eixample district is filled with restaurants, shops and cultural venues, and for nightlife or dining, a short walk leads to the lively bars and tapas spots around Passeig de Gràcia.

Standard rooms come in single (13 m2) and double configurations, while the Standard + Extra Bed variant sleeps up to 3 people (19 m2). Superior rooms add either a living area with armchairs, a typical Eixample balcony, or a quiet terrace, all retaining parquet flooring, a work desk and soundproofed windows. Some interior-facing rooms have limited natural light or small windows looking into a courtyard, and certain single rooms have a window facing an internal lightwell. Street-facing rooms on upper floors benefit from better soundproofing and more light. All bathrooms feature a bathtub with shower. Irons and boards are available on request, and high-power hairdryers can be collected from reception.

The breakfast offers a wide range of hot and cold dishes, including breads, pastries, fruits, cereals, hot drinks and cooked items. Vegetarian and vegan diners will find plant milks and roasted vegetables on the buffet. A snack bar and room service are available throughout the day. The Taber Bar Cafeteria in the lobby serves welcome drinks (including the complimentary glass of cava) and light snacks. For lunch and dinner, the surrounding streets are lined with restaurants serving Spanish, tapas, Argentine and international cuisine, all within a 5-minute walk.

Leisure amenities at HCC Taber are limited to the on-site bar and the shared lounge/TV area. For fitness and relaxation, the rooftop terrace of the sister hotel can be accessed for a drink with a view. The hotel's central location, however, places parks, walking routes, and the Barcelona beach (reached by metro) within easy reach for active travellers.

The 24-hour front desk can assist with early check-in requests (subject to fee and availability), taxi booking, and general city information. Luggage storage is free and available before check-in and after check-out, which is useful for late flights. Business facilities include two meeting rooms (St Moritz and Regente) with Wi-Fi, telephone lines, independent air conditioning, adjustable lighting, and AV equipment such as projectors and screens.
