B&B HOTEL LYON CENTRE MONPLAISIR, Lyon

The hotel is located in the Monplaisir district, a quiet neighbourhood just outside the city centre. The metro station on line D is less than five minutes on foot, making the city centre easily reachable within 10-12 minutes. Part-Dieu Train Station is 2.6km away, Eurexpo is a 20-minute drive, and Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport is 25km from the property. A large supermarket is directly opposite the hotel, and several restaurants and cafes are within a 300-metre walk. The area is generally calm and safe for evening walks.

The hotel offers double, twin, triple, and quadruple rooms, all with similar amenities: air conditioning, heating, soundproofing, a desk, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower. Some rooms have been reported to have maintenance issues such as dampness or odours, and beds are described as firm. No in-room coffee/tea facilities, hairdryer, or fridge are provided. Family rooms are available and are reasonably spacious. Windows can be opened for ventilation, but street-facing rooms may experience noise from the neighbourhood at night.

Breakfast is a basic continental buffet with fresh bread, pastries, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The selection is limited and can run low towards the end of the service (07:00-10:00). Guests who do not take breakfast can sometimes obtain free coffee from reception. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel; vending machines with snacks and drinks are located in the lobby. For a fuller meal, numerous cafes and restaurants are a short walk away. The hotel also provides a communal microwave for guest use.

Wellness facilities such as a pool, spa, or fitness centre are not available. For leisure, a free table-football table is located in the lobby. The surrounding Monplaisir neighbourhood is pleasant for walks, and the Lumière Museum is nearby. Guests looking for more extensive leisure amenities will need to head into the city centre.
