The hostel sits on a street with a bus stop right outside, making local travel easy. Farrer Park MRT Station (10-minute walk) or Jalan Besar MRT (13-15 minutes) connect to the rest of Singapore, including Orchard Road (3 km away) and Changi Airport (20-minute drive). Little India and a sports stadium are nearby. A variety of restaurants and eateries are within a 5-minute walk, including a coffee shop and hawker stalls immediately below the building. The Olympic-sized public swimming pool is also adjacent, but was under renovation until April 2020.

The hostel offers mixed and female-only dormitories, as well as family rooms with private or shared bathrooms and queen beds. Dorm beds come with a personal reading light, power socket, curtain, and a secure locker (bring your own padlock). Rooms are air-conditioned, though the system is turned off daily from 11am to 3pm. Some upper bunks require climbing a high ladder. The family room with private bathroom has no windows. The property has soundproofing in some rooms, but corridor noise and hallway conversations can be heard. The atmosphere is practical and budget-oriented, best suited for travellers who plan to spend minimal time in the room.

A restaurant and a food stall operate below the hostel, offering convenient options for meals. Just a short stroll away, you'll find Arte Pasto, Black Fairy Coffee, Babi Goeling, and several other restaurants within 0.5 km. The communal kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and toaster, plus complimentary coffee and tea. Free drinking water dispensers allow refilling bottles. No breakfast is provided, and the kitchen lacks utensils and cups, so plan to purchase meals from the surrounding area or bring your own supplies.

Guests can use the fitness centre at no extra cost, though it is very compact with minimal equipment. Billiards and table tennis are also free, and a games room provides board games and puzzles. A basketball machine adds to the casual sports vibe. The nearby sports stadium and training ground offer running and outdoor exercise space. There is no spa, no swimming pool on site (a public pool adjacent was under renovation), and no sauna. The leisure facilities are geared toward light activity and social play rather than serious fitness.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, though signal may be weaker inside rooms and stronger in the lounge. Luggage storage is available, and lockers (bring your own lock) are provided for each bed. Reception is open 10am-7pm; after-hours self-check-in works well. A laundry service costs SGD 12 per load, and ironing boards can be borrowed from reception for use in the lounge. Daily housekeeping is included, but bed linen is not changed daily. Business facilities like fax/photocopying and meeting rooms are available for a surcharge. The property has key card and key access, CCTV, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms for security. There is no lift - stairs only.
