BEST WESTERN OCALA PARK CENTRE, Ocala

Situated beside Interstate 75, the hotel is a 21-minute drive from Silver Springs State Park, 15 minutes from the Appleton Museum of Art and Ocala Carriage & Tours, and about 25 minutes from Ocala National Forest. Boat ramps at Silver River and Spruce Drive are 30 minutes away, and Rainbow Springs is about 30 minutes west. Highway noise can be noticeable, especially in rooms on the east side of the building; requesting a west-facing room improves sleep quality. Cracker Barrel is directly adjacent via a short walk through the parking lot, and other fast-food options (Burger King, KFC, Dunkin', Steak 'n Shake) are within 0.5 km. A Publix grocery store is nearby, and Market Kitchen & Bar and Arthur's American Bistro are about 1 km away. The hotel is approximately two hours southwest of Jacksonville.

Accommodations range from double and quadruple rooms to suites, all featuring air conditioning, heating, a tea and coffee maker, ironing facilities, hairdryer, and an AM/FM alarm clock. All rooms have a private bathroom, though some double queen rooms include raised toilets with a tub and shower combo. Refrigerators and microwaves are standard in every room. Connecting and adjoining rooms are available subject to availability. Some rooms have been recently updated, but the property is older and overall decor is dated and dark in places. Noise from the highway and hallway (elevator and ice machine) can be disruptive; rooms near the elevator or on the east side of the building are less quiet. Pillows are described as small and lumpy; beds are generally firm. Some rooms have been noted to have musty or moldy smells, and pests have been occasionally present. Room size is adequate but compact, and there are no balconies. Housekeeping is limited to trash removal and towel exchange on request; full servicing (bed-making, sheet changes) occurs every four to five days.

The complimentary breakfast includes hot options such as scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurts, bagels, and pastries. The breakfast room is small, seating about 10 to 16 people, so it can become crowded during peak hours. Staff typically replenish items, but availability can vary. Coffee is available 24 hours in the lobby. The hotel has no restaurant or bar for other meals; however, multiple fast-food and casual dining options (Cracker Barrel, Steak 'n Shake, KFC, Dunkin', Burger King) are within a 0.5 km walk. A supermarket is nearby for self-catering.

The heated outdoor saltwater pool and hot tub are open daily from 9:00 to 22:00, weather permitting. Pool and hot tub towels are provided at no charge. Surrounding the pool area are sun loungers and beach chairs, an outdoor fire pit with a timer, and a sun terrace. The pool and hot tub are located by the highway, so traffic noise is present. There is no on-site fitness center, but the hotel partners with a local gym five minutes away, providing free passes during its hours (9:00-17:00). Outdoor activities such as hiking (free, off-site), cycling, fishing (fee), canoeing (fee), horse riding (fee), and golf (within 3 km, fee) are available in the area. A children's buffet is offered at breakfast, and a shared lounge/TV room is on the property.
