BEST WESTERN TONI INN, Pigeon Forge

Set just 2 minutes' drive from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this hotel is in a quieter section of the Parkway, making it easy to enter and exit the main road. Dollywood theme park is 7 km away (approximately 8 minutes by car), and Smoky Mountain Ziplines are 4 km away. Several chain restaurants - including Dickey's BBQ, Denny's, and Pizza Hut - are within a 3-minute walk, and a variety of other dining options are within 0.5 km. Gatlinburg is a 10-minute drive but requires separate parking fees. For guests without a car, the area is walkable to a handful of restaurants and attractions, but a vehicle is recommended for most activities.

All rooms are strictly non-smoking and offer a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee machine. A flat-screen cable TV with HBO®, ironing facilities, and a hairdryer are provided in each. Some rooms feature a walk-in shower, while the majority have a tub/shower combo; no rooms have a jetted bathtub. The rooms vary in size - some are noted as spacious and suitable for families, while others, particularly the bathroom, are described as small. The property is older and decor is dated in some areas, though some rooms have been updated. The bed comfort is inconsistent, with some finding the mattresses too hard or worn, and a plastic mattress protector can add to the discomfort. Noise from the main road and neighboring rooms can be an issue, especially for rooms near the stairs, road, or indoor pool. The rooms have heating and air conditioning, but the system can be noisy, and humidity and stuffiness have been reported. The elevator is accessible only through the indoor pool area, which has a strong chlorine odor.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and offers a rotating selection of hot items such as eggs, sausage, and biscuits with gravy, plus make-your-own waffles, pastries, fruit, yogurt, and both hot and cold cereals. The breakfast area is small, with limited seating (approximately 15-20 seats), and can become crowded quickly; takeaway containers are provided for those who want to eat in their room. The breakfast selection is described as typical of a budget hotel, but the waffles and hot items are often highlighted as good. The dining area is located in a separate building from some rooms, accessible via an outdoor walkway.

Parking is free and on-site, but the lot is small and can fill up, requiring guests to park in an alternate lot. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, although its reliability has been inconsistent. A 24-hour front desk supports express check-in/check-out. A coin-operated laundry room is located near the elevator. A business centre with fax/photocopying is available at no extra charge. A paid shuttle service is offered, but airport shuttle is not. An on-site minimarket and vending machines with drinks and snacks are available. The elevator is located in the indoor pool area. The property has accessible parking, but no dedicated accessible parking near the pool. The property is non-smoking, and there is a designated smoking area; however, smoking on the outdoor walkways has been an issue.
