The hotel is 13 km from Knoxville Zoological Gardens, 17 km from Market Square, and 19 km from the University of Tennessee Neyland Stadium. McGhee Tyson Airport is 36 km away. Several dining options including Cracker Barrel, Burger King, and Taco Bell are within 0.5 km, with McDonald's and Aubrey's Strawberry Plains around 1 km. The location is ideal for travelers passing through or visiting the area, with quick highway access and ample nearby gas stations.

Family rooms are available, with some including a sofa bed. The rooms are spacious for a highway-side hotel, though some may show signs of wear or musty odors. Bedding and pillow comfort varies; some mattresses may sag over time. Lighting can be dim in certain areas. Rooms on the second floor or away from the road are quieter. Accessible rooms with roll-in showers are an option. Renovations are ongoing, so room conditions vary; requesting a recently updated room is recommended.

The indoor pool is heated and open until 19:00. The pool area can be very warm and humid. The hot tub has been noted to occasionally be out of service or have cleanliness concerns; confirming its operational status before booking is advisable if this amenity is important. The fitness centre is small but adequate for basic workouts. Sun loungers and pool towels are provided. The pool and hot tub are family-friendly, but noise levels may vary.

Parking is free and on-site with no reservation needed, including accessible spots. The property has an elevator, vending machines, and a safety deposit box. A business centre with fax/photocopying and meeting rooms is available for an additional charge. Laundry service is offered for a fee (washer/dryer on the second floor, requires quarters). The hotel is non-smoking with a designated smoking area. Key card access and CCTV enhance security. A $50 deposit is taken at check-in and returned if no damages occur.
