The river trail is accessible from the property for walking, biking, or running to Old Sacramento, though the surrounding area has a visible homeless presence, so walking after dark is not recommended. A Chevron station and several dining options are within the same parking lot. The airport and Amtrak station are within a short drive, and the location is convenient for attending events at Discovery Park or the Cal Expo fairgrounds.

The property offers double, quadruple, and family rooms, with configurations including one king bed, two queen beds, or three beds. Some quadruple rooms include a balcony or patio. Each room has a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, and tea/coffee-making facilities. The property is older and basic in condition, with some rooms showing wear such as stained carpets or dated furnishings.
