BUENA VISTA MOTOR INN, San Francisco

The Buena Vista Motor Inn is situated on Lombard Street in a safe, walkable neighborhood. Hop-on hop-off bus and Muni stops are right outside. Fisherman's Wharf, the Aquarium of the Bay, and Pier 39 are within 2 km. The Palace of Fine Arts and Golden Gate Bridge viewpoints are also close. For dining, Chestnut Street is a two-block walk with a good selection of restaurants and cafés. San Francisco International Airport is about 4 km away; there is no airport shuttle.

The hotel offers quadruple, triple, double, and suite rooms. Suites have a separate living room with a sofa bed and a closed bedroom - useful for families. All rooms include air conditioning, heating, and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms come with a mini fridge; a microwave can be rented for $10/night (suites have one included). Rooms are generally spacious but vary in condition, with some showing wear. Street-facing rooms (especially on lower floors) can be noisy, so requesting a top-floor rear room is recommended. Rooms do not have balconies.

There is no swimming pool, spa, or gym on site. The outdoor highlight is a small rooftop deck and garden area on the third floor with seating and a view of the Golden Gate Bridge on clear days. This space is suitable for morning coffee or an evening rest. The property also has a sun terrace and outdoor furniture on the ground level. For recreation, the nearby Marina Green and waterfront walking trail are a few minutes' walk away.

The secure parking garage with elevator access is a key asset - a $200 refundable deposit is required at check-in. Luggage storage is offered free of charge, helpful for late departures. The front desk operates 24/7 and can arrange concierge and tour desk services. There is no on-site laundry, but a laundromat and dry cleaner are around the corner. Business travelers can use the business center. The hotel is equipped with a lift, family rooms, and accessible parking spaces. Guests under 20 can check in with a valid ID.
