CAMBRIDGE LODGE, Sydney

The lodge is within a quiet residential neighbourhood, a short walk from Stanmore station (trains reach Central in about 10 minutes). Sydney CBD and Sydney Airport are each a 15-minute drive away; the Opera House and Harbour Bridge are 20 minutes by car. Free on-street parking is available nearby, and a range of shops, cafés and restaurants on Enmore Road are within a few minutes' walk. The area feels safe and walkable, with the Enmore Theatre a short stroll away.

Private rooms and some dormitory rooms contain a small fridge and a TV. Linen and towels are provided. All toilet and bathroom facilities are shared and located in the main building; some rooms are in a separate annexe, requiring guests to go outside to reach the bathrooms. Rooms do not have air conditioning - only fans are supplied - and can become uncomfortably hot in summer. Some windows lack fly screens. Road-facing rooms and rooms near the shared bathrooms may experience noise from other guests, particularly in the early morning and late evening. The building is older and basic, with carpeted floors, heating, and garden views from some rooms.

There is no restaurant at the lodge and no breakfast service. A fully equipped shared kitchen is available (open 07:30-22:00) with kitchen utensils for self-catering. Free tea and coffee are provided throughout the day. The property also has a barbecue area and an outdoor dining terrace with furniture. Within a 5-10 minute walk, there are numerous restaurants, cafés and takeaway options on Enmore Road and around Stanmore station.

The property does not have a swimming pool or spa. Outdoor leisure includes a sun terrace with garden furniture, a barbecue area, and a quiet garden with city views from the upper deck. Inside, there is a shared lounge and TV area, and board games and puzzles are available. The neighbourhood is residential and quiet, making it suitable for relaxed downtime.
