CAPSULE HOSTEL ZIZKOV TOWER, Prague

The hostel is located on Hartigova 80 in the Žižkov area, not far from the main tourist circuit. The Historical Building of the National Museum is roughly 3 km away, and Municipal House about 4 km. Charles Bridge and Prague Castle are further but reachable by bus and tram. Václav Havel Airport is 15 km away, so a long bus/tram ride or taxi is needed to get there. There is a bus stop immediately outside, and Florenc bus station is about a 15-minute walk or a short bus ride (bus 207). The neighbourhood is residential and has a few restaurants and shops within walking distance, but the central sights are not within easy walking range; you will need public transport for nearly all visits.

Each capsule is a self-contained sleeping pod with a mattress, bedding, a towel, a pillow, and a small fold-down writing desk. There is also a small locker inside the room for storing a small backpack or valuables, but larger luggage often has to stay in the capsule itself, which can feel cramped. The capsules are lockable from the inside, and the outer room door is also lockable. However, the capsule's ventilation fan is very weak and loud, and there is no air conditioning inside the pod; sleeping with the door closed quickly becomes hot and stuffy, especially in warm weather. Many users find they must leave the capsule door open for air, which reduces privacy and increases noise from the room. The room door and capsule door both make loud noises when opened/closed, and soundproofing between capsules is minimal. The shared bathroom pods each contain a shower, toilet, and sink in one room, which means the floor gets wet from the shower and dirt from shoes is tracked in; cleanliness tends to deteriorate during the day.

The hostel does not have a restaurant, cafe, or bar, so all meals must be bought outside. A small shared kitchen is provided, equipped with a stove, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, and a fridge, allowing you to prepare simple meals. There is no designated dining area, and the kitchen is small for the number of capsules. Several casual eateries are within a short walk: Matoka Cheesesteaks & Burgers (0.5 km), U Ceske chalupy (0.5 km), Zastav se (0.5 km), and others within 0.5 km. For a wider selection, the centre of Žižkov and Vinohrady are a short bus ride away.

Free Wi-Fi is provided and is accessible both inside the room and the common areas. Parking is not available at the property, so you will need to rely on public transport or find paid street parking in the area. There is no reception or staff on-site; all check-in, access, and communication is done via a web app or WhatsApp. No luggage storage is offered, so you may need to haul bags around if you arrive before 15:00 or leave after 10:00. The property uses a key system that requires a working smartphone with an internet connection for every entry. There are CCTV cameras in common areas. No pets are allowed. Cleaning is done once per day in the morning, but the bathrooms are not restocked with toilet paper or cleaned again until the next day.
