The immediate area is industrial, with high fences and gates, and walking with luggage after dark is not recommended due to safety concerns. Several street food stalls and small shops are within a half-block, and restaurants such as Angus Butcher House and The Centro Restaurant are 0.5 km away. The neighbourhood is considered sketchy by some, but the property has a locked gate and 24-hour security. Public transport options, including metro and bus stations, are within 10 minutes on foot.

Rooms are small and vary widely: some have private bathrooms, others share facilities at the end of the corridor. Each room includes a patio, a tea and coffee maker, a dining area, and a kitchen equipped with refrigerator, kitchenware, oven, and microwave. Family rooms are available with varying bed configurations (up to 3 beds). However, rooms are not soundproofed - noise from the street, shared areas, and adjacent bathrooms is a recurring issue. Many rooms have windows that face interior corridors or are glass-bricked, leading to light spill at night. There is no air conditioning or central heating; fans are provided on request but can be noisy. Mattresses are often described as old and uncomfortable; linens and towels may need to be requested separately. Some rooms have a window to the shared bathroom, and the overall privacy level is low. For longer stays or deeper sleep, consider bringing earplugs and an eye mask.
