COMFORT INN BOSTON, Boston

The hotel is on a busy four-lane road near a railway line, so some rooms hear train and road noise. The free shuttle runs to JFK/UMass T station on the Red Line, making city-centre access possible without a car. The immediate area is industrial with little walkable dining, although a bowling alley next door serves food and a grocery market with an overhead crosswalk is across the street. Taxis and Uber cost about $15-$25 to central destinations like Harvard.

The room sizes are spacious, but the furniture can look worn and dated. Standard amenities include a sitting area, in-room safe, hairdryer, am/fm alarm clock, and cable/satellite television. Noise from the nearby railway and highway is noticeable, especially in rooms on that side. Some rooms have a musty smell, and the bathrooms are small with poorly designed fixtures and low shower pressure. A microwave is not available in standard rooms.

Breakfast is a generous buffet with a waffle machine, syrups, juice, and a variety of breads and fresh fruit, served with plastic cutlery and plates. The dining room can fill up quickly, making seating difficult, so some guests take food back to their room. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner; the bar/lounge area is available for drinks. For other meals, the adjacent bowling alley, nearby grocery store, or dining in central Boston are practical options.

Wi-Fi works well in reception but can be weak or unreliable in some rooms. The free shuttle runs to JFK/UMass T station and Logan Airport, but wait times can exceed an hour during busy periods and drivers can be unhelpful. Laundry facilities are available. Luggage storage is offered for early arrivals or late departures. Housekeeping services are provided, but room servicing may need to be requested at the front desk. Credit card fraud has been reported, so monitor statements closely. Parking costs $10 per night; the lot is owned by a third party.
