COMFORT INN JFK AIRPORT, New York

The hotel sits in an industrial area directly across from a sanitation truck depot, which can produce rubbish-related views and occasional odors. The immediate neighborhood has limited dining or shopping options; however, a mall with restaurants and a Home Depot is a short drive away. The nearest subway station is about 10 minutes away by bus (Q10 bus to Kew Gardens, then E or F train to Manhattan), making city-center access possible but not quick. For airport access, the free shuttle from Federal Circle is the most practical option, arriving at JFK terminals in about 10 minutes. The area can feel uninviting at night, so walking outside the hotel is generally not recommended.

The rooms are on the smaller side, best suited for a short overnight stay rather than an extended visit. Double rooms feature one bed, while quadruple rooms have two beds and can accommodate up to four adults, but space is tight and luggage may need to be rearranged. The furnishings are dated and the carpet can show stains. Soundproofing is limited: road-facing rooms pick up traffic noise and loud music from vehicles, and hallway noise from other guests is easily heard. Some rooms have bathrooms with poor drainage design where shower water flows onto the bathroom floor. Pillows and towels are often described as thin. A small packet of soap and a few towels are provided. The beds are generally reported as comfortable, and the rooms are clean. There is no microwave or in-room safe.

Breakfast is included in the room rate. The hot buffet includes items like waffles, bagels, yogurt, and fruit, served from 6:00 AM. For guests with shuttle departures before 6:00 AM, a grab-and-go bag with a muffin, granola bar, yogurt, water, and juice is provided. The on-site restaurant, Fly Inn Lounge, serves American cuisine and cocktails, open 1:00 AM to 10:00 AM, covering late arrivals but not dinner hours. The hotel also offers a snack bar and vending machines. For evening meals, food delivery from several local restaurants (Chinese, Indian, etc.) can be arranged through the front desk. There is no dinner option on-site. The breakfast quality is basic but adequate for a quick meal before a flight.

The fitness centre is available at no extra charge and offers basic exercise equipment for a quick workout. There are no other wellness facilities such as a pool, spa, or sauna on the property. The shared lounge/TV area provides a casual space to relax.
