The hostel sits next to the central bus station and Connolly train station, giving direct DART and Luas access across the city. The airport bus (Airlink) stops on Talbot Street just metres away, taking 30 minutes. By taxi, expect fares upwards of €22. Walking to Temple Bar takes about 10 minutes; the Guinness Storehouse is a 30-minute train ride or 35-minute stroll. Key attractions within walking distance include Croke Park, the 3Arena, Trinity College, and O'Connell Street. The area around the hostel can feel less safe late at night, but the location is well-connected and central.

Rooms are modern and clean, with parquet floors, heating, and air conditioning. Dormitories offer pod-style beds with privacy curtains, reading lights, a shelf, and a hook. Each pod has a built-in coded locker large enough for a carry-on bag. Private rooms include a double or twin bed, wardrobe, and en-suite bathroom with towels provided. Road-facing rooms can be noisy; request a quieter room if you are a light sleeper. The pods can feel warm due to limited ventilation, especially during summer. The 4- and 6-bed dorms are noted for being more peaceful than larger ones. Rooms on upper floors are reachable by lift. Balconies are not available.

Breakfast is a buffet with bacon, sausages, scrambled and fried eggs, hash browns, black and white pudding, cereals, porridge, toast, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, juice, filter coffee and tea. A lighter porridge option costs €6 and includes toppings like chia seeds, hazelnuts and dates. The bar serves coffee, bagels, pastries, muesli pots, and a full menu for sit-in or takeaway. Live music is held most evenings, and pub crawls depart from the bar. The bar can get loud, but the music generally stops by midnight, and sound insulation in the rooms is effective. Breakfast is not included in the room rate unless booked directly with specific direct-booker perks.

The hostel has a rooftop terrace for relaxing, a common room with board games, and a bar that hosts live music, karaoke, and jam sessions most evenings. A free daily walking tour departs at 11am from the Old Storehouse Bar. A paid pub crawl (€14) includes a free Guinness, a shot in each bar, and VIP club entry. There is no spa, gym, or swimming pool on site.
