The property is near Alameda Park, and a Tuesday farm market nearby offers local produce. A car is useful for reaching the beach or golf club but not essential for downtown exploration. Returning late at night, on-street parking near the residential area may be used as overflow when the hotel garage is full.

Rooms are generously sized and modern, with a mid-century modern design.
