The hostel sits on a main road in a practical south London neighbourhood, with multiple bus stops right outside and both Kennington (Northern Line) and Elephant & Castle (Bakerloo and Northern lines) tube stations within about 10 minutes on foot. Central London landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and the London Eye are within a 20-30 minute walk or a short tube ride, while Borough Market is roughly 20 minutes away on foot. A 24-hour Tesco is only 2 minutes away, and several pubs and restaurants - including Dominos Pizza directly below - are within a 5-minute walk. London City Airport is 14 km away. Street noise is noticeable, especially on lower floors and during the night.

Rooms are 18 m2 and contain bunk beds with privacy curtains, a free personal locker per guest (laptop-bag sized, not suitable for large suitcases), USB and standard plug sockets by the bed, and a travel adapter. Bed linen and a towel are provided. The atmosphere is not party-oriented; the building is older with steep stairs and no lift. Noise from the street and underground trains can be heard in most rooms, and windows have restricted opening. No individual reading lights are available at the bed. Rooms can heat up in summer - a fan is provided but there is no air conditioning. The shared bathrooms on each floor are functional but very compact, with limited shelf space and shower controls that can be tricky to balance for hot water. Toilets are in cramped units with a sink above the toilet.

The hostel has a well-equipped shared kitchen with a hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, and all necessary utensils, plus complimentary tea and instant coffee. There is a large communal table and a roof terrace with seating. A 24-hour Tesco is a 2-minute walk away for groceries. Numerous restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including Domino's Pizza (0.5 km), The Electric Elephant Cafe, Mr Ma Kitchen, The Lobster Pot, Maximo Italian Bistrot, The Old Red Lion, and Dragon Castle. The free kitchen laundry machines are also available for guest use.

Leisure facilities are limited to the shared roof terrace with outdoor seating and the communal kitchen, which is open until midnight. The hostel is not a social party hostel; its common spaces are better suited for quiet relaxation or eating. The surrounding area includes a few small parks and is within walking distance of the South Bank, Borough Market, and major landmarks.

Wi-Fi is available for free in rooms and common areas, though its reliability can vary. Daily housekeeping is provided, with bathrooms cleaned multiple times a day. Free luggage storage is available, including before check-in. The hostel has a manager on-site at all times, but there is no reception desk at this building.
