DAYS INN BY WYNDHAM KNOXVILLE EAST, Knoxville

The motel is situated directly adjacent to Interstate 40, making it a practical stopover for cross-country trips. University of Tennessee is 11 km away, and Chilhowee Park with its hiking trails is 3 km from the property. Dollywood in Pigeon Forge is a 42-minute drive. North-facing rooms experience considerable highway noise from trucks and traffic, so guests sensitive to sound should specifically request a room on the quieter south side. A Waffle House and a gas station are directly opposite, and several dining options are available on Strawberry Avenue one exit east. Free on-site parking is ample and can accommodate larger vehicles such as trailers and campers without a reservation.

Breakfast is served from 6:00 to 9:00 and consists of pre-packaged cereal, granola bars, packaged pastries or sweet rolls, yogurt, and coffee. There are no hot items, fresh fruit, or bagels. Guests who prefer a fuller morning meal will find a Waffle House directly across the street and multiple dining options on Strawberry Avenue, one exit east. There is no restaurant or bar on the property. A vending machine with drinks and snacks is available. The motel staff can offer recommendations for nearby restaurants.

The seasonal outdoor swimming pool is a point of appeal, particularly for families traveling with children, as its hours (10am-10pm) and comfortable water temperature have been appreciated. There is no spa, fitness centre, or other wellness facilities on the property. The shared lounge / TV area provides an indoor space for relaxation. A launderette (coin-operated laundry) is available for an additional charge.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas, though its reliability and speed have been described as weak at times. Free self-parking requires no reservation and can accommodate trailers and campers. The 24-hour front desk provides check-in assistance and luggage storage; a government-issued photo ID and a deposit are required at check-in. Pets are allowed on request for a nightly fee of $25 per pet. Daily housekeeping is complimentary; bedding changes are not automatic for longer stays. Laundry is available for an additional charge, and fax/photocopying is included. Key card access and smoke alarms provide basic security. No elevator is present, so ground-floor rooms should be requested by guests with mobility issues.
