The hotel sits in Berlin's Tiergarten district, within walking distance of major attractions: Potsdamer Platz is about 1 km away (20 minutes on foot), the Berlin Zoo is roughly a 20-minute walk, and the Kurfürstendamm shopping street is reachable in 10 minutes via the underground. Two U-Bahn stations nearby give direct access to the city centre and the airport (about 1 hour by public transport). The surrounding area offers many restaurants, bars, and shops, while the hotel entrance area can feel dark at night. For those driving, on-site parking is available but limited and cannot be reserved.

All rooms are non-smoking and feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a desk, and a private bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, and walk-in shower. Some units include a seating area, wardrobe, and soundproof walls. Rooms are modest in size; the smallest can feel cramped, and the bathroom particularly tight for larger people. The double bed is sometimes two singles pushed together with a dent in the middle. Beds are often described as very firm and squeaky, and pillows are thick or flat, which can affect sleep quality. There is no air conditioning-only a fan is provided-and rooms facing the road can suffer from street noise. Windows may leak air in cold weather, making rooms chilly. Some rooms have no refrigerator (only a minibar in some) and no kettle, tea/coffee, or drinking glasses. The 6th-floor rooms are accessible only via stairs from the 5th floor. Cleaning frequency varies; some note mould in bathroom joints. Daily towel and bin service is standard.

The breakfast buffet is served in a dedicated area and includes a continental spread. Many find it filling and good value, though some note limited variety for vegans or those with lactose intolerance. A small bar in the hotel offers beer, wine, and other drinks; in summer you can take them to the terrace. For coffee or tea outside breakfast hours, you can buy a drink from the machine by reception (€1.50).
