A tram stop is directly outside the entrance, with services connecting to Adlershof S-Bahn station in about 10 minutes, from which central Berlin (Alexanderplatz, East Side Gallery) is a further 30-35 minutes. The journey into the city centre typically takes around 45 minutes by public transport, requiring one change. For airport arrivals, a taxi or Uber takes roughly 25 minutes, while public transport (S-Bahn to Adlershof, then bus 162 to Betonwerk) takes around 45-60 minutes. The surrounding neighbourhood includes a Lidl supermarket within a 10-15 minute walk, an Italian pizzeria, and a Turkish street food spot one tram stop away. A Lidl is also within 500 metres. The area near the hostel is close to a cement factory and old factory buildings, which gives it an unusual setting. A short walk leads to the Köpenick Palace and its gardens, a local highlight.

The property offers a variety of room types. Private rooms - single, twin, double, and quadruple - each include a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, a washing machine, a tea and coffee maker, a seating and dining area, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Some rooms also feature a barbecue. Dormitory rooms have shared bathrooms; those sleeping 4 or 6 people are mixed-gender. Single-gender dormitory placement is not possible. Several rooms are located in a separate 'Studio' building, about a 5-minute walk from the main building where breakfast is served. Wardrobes are provided but are basic metal lockers - no lock is supplied. The property has no lift, so rooms on higher floors require climbing stairs. Breakfast is a continental buffet offering bread, cheese, salami, cereal, vegetables, juice, tea, and coffee. It is included in the room price. Breakfast is served in a dedicated room in the main building; when that space is full, a heated tent is used. This tent can feel cold in cooler months. The buffet is sufficient for a basic start to the day but may become repetitive during longer stays. Vegan options are not provided - no plant-based milk or meat alternatives are available. The bar on site serves drinks including beer from €1.50 and simple cocktails, with indoor and outdoor seating in the garden and picnic area. For self-catering, the hostel has multiple shared kitchens, but cooking utensils are not provided in the kitchen - they must be borrowed at reception against a cash deposit of €50 (refundable on return).
