The location is ideal for exploring the city on foot. Central Station provides tram connections to Museumplein and Leidse Square. Dam Square, the Red Light District, and Nieuwendijk shopping street are all within a few minutes' walk. Rooms are simply furnished and often small. All rooms are non-smoking, though smoking rooms are available on request (tobacco only). Shared shower and toilet facilities are located on each floor, shared between up to three rooms. The building has no elevator and very steep, narrow stairs, which can be challenging with luggage. There is no air conditioning, but fans can be requested. Noise from the street and neighbouring rooms can be significant due to poor soundproofing. Daily housekeeping is provided free of charge.

Breakfast offers a selection of breads, pastries, cereals, meats, cheese, and hot drinks. It provides a basic start to the day. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but the surrounding area has a wide variety of dining options within a short walk. A free internet computer is available at the breakfast location.
