EL CORONADO RESORT, Wildwood Crest

El Coronado Resort sits directly on the beach in Wildwood Crest, offering a quieter, family-oriented setting while remaining close to key attractions. The resort is 5 km from Morey's Piers & Beachfront Waterparks and 6 km from the Surfside Pier amusements. Several casual dining options are within a 5-minute walk, including Lori's At The Villa Nova Motel (0.5 km), Lemma's Beach Grill (0.5 km), Anthony's Pizzeria & Ice Cream Parlor (0.5 km), and Sal's Pizza (0.5 km). For those without a car, the location is walkable for many basic needs, though a vehicle is more practical for reaching the Wildwood boardwalk or Cape May. The free on-site parking is a significant advantage, as street parking can be tight.

El Coronado offers a wide variety of room configurations, from standard double/quadruple rooms to large suites with up to 3 separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room. All rooms have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower or bath, and are equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee maker, and a safe. Most rooms include a microwave and small refrigerator; many also have a kitchenette with a stovetop and cookware, and some suites add a dishwasher, a full-size refrigerator, and a washing machine. Private balconies are available in select rooms-some with direct ocean views, others with a semi-private or pool view. The property's decor is described as dated and the building shows older infrastructure, but rooms are generally considered clean and spacious. For better sleeping conditions, rooms away from the pool area are quieter, and higher floors (4th+) provide superior ocean views. Road-facing rooms may experience some noise.

Sal's Beachfront Cafe is the resort's on-site restaurant, offering a convenient dining option for all meals from 07:00 to 20:00. The restaurant serves American, Caribbean, and Mediterranean cuisine in a family-friendly, modern ambiance. Breakfast is available daily, but it is not included in the room rate unless you purchase breakfast tickets-available at booking for $15/person-which allow ordering from a set package menu. Alternatively, you can order a la carte from the regular menu. The cafe has a full-service bar and an outdoor patio. During peak season, the restaurant can experience long wait times due to high demand. For light snacks and drinks, vending machines are available on-site.

The resort's outdoor pool complex is a central feature, with a heated main pool, a separate children's pool, and a hot tub. The pool deck is lined with sun loungers and offers views of the ocean and beach. The heated pool is open seasonally each year from May until the first weekend of October, from 9:00 to 21:00. For guests looking to relax further, there is a free sauna and a hot tub available. The sun terrace includes BBQ facilities for guest use. A games room and a nearby golf course (within 3 km, additional charge) provide additional leisure options. The pool area is a lively, family-oriented spot, and no pool shade is provided unless you rent a cabana or umbrella.
