DORMA DOMUS AUREA, Rome

The hotel is on a busy boulevard near Termini, providing direct rail and metro access to all major sights. Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps are a 25-minute walk away; the Colosseum is 30 minutes on foot. The Vatican is reachable in 20-30 minutes by metro or taxi. Numerous restaurants, cafes, and a supermarket are within a two-minute walk. The area remains well-lit and active late into the evening, and a tram stop outside the door offers an alternative for car-free travel around the city.

Rooms are compact and space is limited, particularly for storing luggage. Each room has a private bathroom, air conditioning (typically from June), heating, a safety deposit box, and an electric kettle in some units. Some rooms overlook a quieter inner courtyard, while road-facing rooms can experience street noise. The basic decor and furniture are functional rather than modern. Triple rooms are available with a double bed and a single bed. There are no interconnected rooms, no balconies, and no kitchen facilities. Daily housekeeping is standard, and some rooms feature a small fridge.

Breakfast is available for a 10 EUR supplement and includes both sweet and savory options, such as scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals, and coffee from an automatic machine. The rooftop terrace overlooks the Baths of Diocletian and offers a panoramic start to the day. For early departures, a packed breakfast can be arranged. The hotel has no restaurant or bar, but several restaurants, cafes, and a gelateria are within a 5-minute walk.

The reception team is available 24 hours and can book guided tours, boat trips, or provide restaurant recommendations. Free luggage storage is available in a secured room. Daily housekeeping is free, and additional cleaning services like laundry and dry cleaning are available at extra cost. The hotel has a lift and non-smoking rooms, with facilities for disabled guests. Wi-Fi is free in all areas. A paid shuttle service can be arranged, but airport transfer is not a dedicated service. Bicycle rental is available for an additional charge.
