The motel is situated just 30.5 m from the Atlantic Ocean, with beach access via a nearby handicap-accessible mat. It is 3 to 4 blocks from the start of the Ocean City Boardwalk, placing it within a short walk of dining options such as PGN Crab House, Marlin Moon Restaurant, and Fractured Prune, as well as the Jolly Rogers Amusement Park across the street. Downtown Ocean City is 3 km away. The location is walkable for most errands, and the bus stop is close by for those without a car. Free on-site parking with one reserved permit per room makes car travel straightforward.

The Flamingo Motel has two towers. Tower 1 rooms (2nd-5th floor) have two queen-size beds (standard rooms sleep 4) and efficiencies that sleep 6 and include a stove/oven. Tower 2 rooms have two double beds and a sofa bed (sleeps 6), plus kitchenettes with a sink, compact fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. All rooms have a private balcony with chairs. Units are air-conditioned with carpeted floors, heating, and a flat-screen TV with cable. Bed linens, bath towels, and toilet paper are provided, but only a sheet and thin top cover are on the beds - a personal blanket is advisable. Ocean-view rooms on the 2nd floor and above face the beach directly, while side-view rooms may see the street or part of the ocean. Tower 1 is considered to have the best ocean views. Rooms feel older and basic but functional; road-facing and lower-floor rooms can be noisier. The property is wheelchair accessible via a ramp and lift.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout both towers, though connectivity may be weaker on upper floors of Tower 2. Parking is free and on-site, but a reservation is required for one permit per room. The 24-hour front desk allows for late check-in and assistance after hours. Vending machines offer drinks and snacks. Housekeeping is not automatic - it must be requested at check-in or in the morning; towels and supplies are then delivered. The motel has a ramp and lift for wheelchair access to both towers. Key card access, CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers are in place. A $250 refundable security deposit is taken at check-in (cash or card hold). Luggage storage is not guaranteed but can be requested. Daily housekeeping is free when requested.
