Two MRT stations - Havelock and Outram Park - are both reachable on foot within 5-10 minutes, giving access to the entire MRT network. Seletar Airport is 17 km away; Changi Airport is about one hour by public transport. The hostel is surrounded by numerous local restaurants, a hawker centre (Tiong Bahru Market), a 7-Eleven, and a bakery, all within a 300-metre radius. Key sights such as Sri Mariamman Temple (19 minutes by public transport), Singapore City Gallery (2 km), and the National Gallery are easily reached by bus or MRT.

The hostel offers a range of dormitory configurations (3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 12-bed options), all with air conditioning. Rooms are available with either private (ensuite) or shared bathrooms; ensuite bathrooms are inside the room and are for the occupants of that room only. Female-only dorms are clearly marked. Each bunk is a standard lower or upper deck, and the bed base is solid, minimising movement noise from other occupants. Some rooms have no windows, which can lead to limited air circulation; rooms facing the street may experience construction noise from a building site opposite. All rooms are cleaned daily, and towels are provided. The private family room (4 beds) is suitable for small groups or families, with a modern, clean interior.

Breakfast includes white toast, jam, peanut butter, cereals, milk, and a choice of hot drinks (tea, instant coffee, and 3-in-1 coffee sachets). The breakfast area is located on the outdoor terrace on the second floor, which also has a water dispenser, microwave, and refrigerator. For those wanting a wider or heartier meal, dozens of restaurants and hawker stalls are within a 300-metre walk, including the Tiong Bahru Market hawker centre, known for affordable local food. The shared kitchen is available for guest use and includes a microwave, toaster, refrigerator, and utensils.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas, but performance can vary in some common spaces. Laundry is free to use (washing machines and dryers), though detergent must be supplied by the guest, either brought or purchased via a machine that requires a phone app. A lift serves all three storeys, a significant help for guests with heavy luggage. Luggage storage is available during reception hours (09:00-21:00). The outdoor terrace on the second floor offers seating and is a pleasant space for eating or working. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. There is no parking on site.
