Hotel Galleria sits on the Grand Canal next to the Accademia Bridge, placing most major sights within easy walking distance. The Accademia vaporetto stop is 15 metres from the entrance, providing direct water-bus connection to the train station and airport via public water taxi. The location in Dorsoduro offers a more relaxed, local atmosphere away from the heaviest crowds, while still being central enough for short walks to St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge and the Zattere waterfront. Guests arriving from the airport can use a private water taxi (approximately 35 minutes, around €140) or buy a vaporetto pass at the airport for a shared taxi that takes about 1 hour. A seven-day vaporetto pass is useful for unlimited trips throughout the stay.

The 9 rooms are individually styled with period furniture and parquet flooring in a 16th-century building. Each room has a ceiling fan, heating, free toiletries, a wardrobe and a private entrance. Grand Canal view rooms include windows directly overlooking the canal and the Accademia Bridge, while city-view rooms face the bridge and partial canal views. Room 10 is the largest option and offers a corner of the canal with a tea/coffee setup, while room 5 provides good sunlight at a smaller footprint. For those needing a private bathroom, the large double and superior double rooms offer an en-suite; some rooms use a bathroom down the hall. There is no air conditioning, but ceiling fans are standard. The hotel has no lift, and rooms are of varying sizes - contacting the property directly beforehand is recommended to choose the best fit. Extra beds may be available for an additional charge.

The hotel does not serve breakfast, but each room includes a hot-water pot with tea and coffee, so guests can prepare a hot drink in-room. A small supermarket right next door makes self-catering easy. The Dorsoduro area is packed with dining options within a 3-minute walk: Bar da Gino for a quick coffee or pastry with locals, and several restaurants such as Ai Cugnai Dal 1911, Ristorante San Trovaso and Beccafico Bar & Snack serve lunch and dinner.
