HOTEL GOLDEN CITY GARNI, Prague

The hotel sits in the heart of Žižkov, a district known for its bohemian character and high density of pubs and eateries. Wenceslas Square and Old Town are a short tram ride away. The tram stop outside the door provides direct connections to the main train station (2 stops) and the city centre (4 stops). For airport access, take Tram 26 to Nadrazi Veleslavin and catch the Airport Express bus. The hotel is walkable to many local restaurants, bars, and a large supermarket (Albert) about 200 metres away. The area is safe and lively, with plenty of dining options within a few minutes' walk.

The hotel offers twin and double rooms, plus apartments with a bedroom and a kitchenette area. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, heating, parquet floors, and a safety deposit box. Some rooms have glass doors to the bathroom that can be inconvenient for shared use. Rooms vary in condition: some have spacious layouts and good soundproofing, while others can be noisy - particularly those on lower floors near the cleaning cabinet or facing the tram line. The bathroom is private, with a shower and toilet; some bathrooms are compact. The furniture is older and some areas show signs of wear, but daily housekeeping keeps the rooms clean. Beds are firm with one pillow per person; softer bedding can be requested. No rooms have a balcony.

Breakfast at Hotel Golden City Garni offers a range of bread, rolls, jam, cheese, ham, pastries, salad, and hot options such as scrambled eggs and sausages. The selection is varied but consistent from day to day, and the quality is generally appreciated. The breakfast room can become crowded during peak hours, but staff keep the area clean and well-stocked. Breakfast is available for an extra charge of €8 if not included in the booking. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but the surrounding area offers many affordable restaurants and pubs.

The hotel does not have a spa, wellness centre, swimming pool, or gym. The nearby Žižkov district offers parks and a vibrant local scene for leisure.
