Hotel Details

Location

The hotel is in Dublin city centre, a short walk from St. Michan's Church and Dublin Castle, with the Luas tram stop right outside.
The hotel sits in a central but quieter part of the city, about 10 minutes on foot from Temple Bar, O'Connell Street, and Trinity College. The Jameson Distillery is a 5-minute walk, and the Smithfield Luas stop is immediately outside. Dublin Airport is 9 km away; the Dublin Express bus to Ormond Quay (€7) is the most affordable airport transfer, while taxis cost €20-€30. Connolly railway station is a 10-minute drive. The surrounding streets are walkable to most city sights, and the hop-on hop-off bus stop is 100 metres away on Smithfield Square.

Accommodation

Rooms are compact but modern, with air conditioning, en-suite bathroom, tea/coffee maker, safe, hairdryer, and flat-screen TV.
Room types include double, twin (one room for two people), triple, and family rooms. Double rooms have one bed, triple rooms two beds, and family rooms up to three beds. Each room is private and has its own en-suite bathroom. The windows cannot be opened, so the room relies on air conditioning for air flow. Some rooms have poor or obstructed views (mezzanine-level rooms overlook a concrete wall, while others face the ventilation system or an interior courtyard). Higher-floor rooms on the 7th floor offer city panoramic views. Road- and lift-facing rooms can be noisy at night. The beds are firm, and pillows are described as very soft. There is no wardrobe - storage consists of a few hangers on a wall rail. The rooms are functional for short stays but may feel cramped for longer stays or light sleepers.

Dining

Free daily breakfast is served from 06:00-10:00 on weekdays and 07:00-11:00 on weekends, with a varied hot and cold buffet.
Breakfast includes a full English/Irish buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans, and waffles you can make yourself, plus a continental selection of bread, pastries, cereals, yogurts, fruit, juices, and tea/coffee. Gluten-free options are available on request. The breakfast area can get very busy, especially at peak hours. The hotel also has a bar, lounge, and coffee shop on site, serving snacks, fruits, kids' meals, and special diet menus on request. Wine, champagne, and a kid-friendly buffet are additionally available.

Wellness and Leisure

The hotel has a free fitness centre in the basement with cardio equipment.
The fitness centre is open 24 hours and is well-equipped for a city hotel, offering machines for a decent workout. Bicycle rental is available for an additional charge, allowing easy exploration of the city at your own pace. No pool, spa, or sauna is present on site.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, 24-hour front desk and security, and a business centre are available.
Wi-Fi is free in all areas. The 24-hour front desk can assist with express check-in/out, and luggage storage is offered free of charge - useful for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is included, but its timing can be variable. A business centre and fax/photocopying are available. Laundry service is offered for an additional fee. The hotel has a lift, soundproofed rooms, a designated smoking area, and wheelchair-accessible rooms with raised toilet, grab rails, and accessible parking. An electric vehicle charging station is available, and the hotel has accessible parking spaces.

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Use the Dublin Express bus from the airport to Ormond Quay, a 2-minute walk from the hotel, for €7 per passenger.

  • 02

Request a high-floor room away from lifts and the street if you are a light sleeper, as tram noise and lift doors can be audible.

  • 03

Book a parking space in advance at the partner Park Rite on Queen Street, and ask reception for the reduced tariff.

  • 04

Confirm your check-in via the app and have your reservation number ready, as system issues can occasionally cause delays.
