The Spire on O'Connell Street and Henry Street shopping district are less than 5 minutes on foot. The surrounding area offers a wide choice of supermarkets, pubs, and restaurants. Parking is not available on site; the nearest public car park is Jervis Street Carpark, just around the corner.

Private double, twin, family, and quadruple rooms feature a private bathroom with a shower. Dormitories with 4, 6, or 8 beds include en-suite bathrooms; 12-bed dorms use shared facilities. The 12-bed dorm is the only configuration without a private bathroom. Rooms are described as compact but functional. Bed comfort varies: some find the mattresses firm, while others note springiness as a potential issue. Each bed is equipped with a privacy curtain, a reading light, USB and standard power sockets, and a shelf. The 12-bed dorm is noisier than smaller rooms. Road-facing rooms can be loud, especially at night. Some rooms on lower floors have limited natural light. Upper-floor rooms offer city views and are quieter. The building has a lift, but it can be slow during peak times.

The breakfast buffet is served daily in a dedicated area on the first floor. Choices include pancakes, sausages, eggs, bread, pastries, cereal, and fresh fruit.
