HILTON GARDEN INN NEW YORK CENTRAL PARK SOUTH-MIDTOWN WEST, New York

Set on West 54th Street, the hotel sits between the energy of Times Square and the calm of Central Park - both easily reached on foot. The 7th Avenue subway station (B, D, E lines) is a 3-minute walk, giving direct access around the city. The Empire State Building is 2 km away. The immediate area is filled with dining and shopping options; Brasserie Cognac and The Famous Oyster Bar are within 2 minutes, and several other restaurants are a 3-minute walk. The street itself feels safe and walkable at all hours.

Room configurations include king, double, queen, and two-bed setups. Rooms with two queen or double beds are noticeably more spacious than king-bedded rooms, which can feel cramped. Some rooms offer a city view or a terrace. Limited rooms have a balcony or a bathtub; all have a shower. Higher-floor rooms are quieter, while some roadside rooms may pick up street noise. Room decor is clean and functional but can feel dated. The thermostat is centrally controlled and may not cool the room below about 70-22 °C. Air conditioning and refrigerator units can be noisy in some rooms.

The on-site Empire Steak House is a traditional steakhouse that also offers vegetarian and gluten-free meal options. Breakfast costs $25 per person and is a self-serve buffet. Coffee is notable. For quicker bites, the hotel's own snack bar is available in the lobby. The surrounding area has numerous restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk, including Italian, diner, and steakhouse options.

The fitness centre is equipped for a standard workout and is open for all guests at no extra charge. If the on-site gym is closed for maintenance, the hotel provides complimentary passes to a nearby full-size gym across the street. There is no pool, spa, or sauna.

The hotel is entirely non-smoking, with lift access and 24-hour security (CCTV, key card access, safety deposit boxes). A minimarket is located on site. Business facilities include fax/photocopying and meeting rooms (for a fee). Housekeeping is provided daily upon request. Luggage can be stored free of charge before check-in and after check-out until 10pm; up to 2 bags per room are free, larger volumes incur a $5 per-bag charge. Express check-in/out and the concierge service help streamline the stay. Pets are allowed with possible charges.
