The Westlake Link light-rail station, less than 10 minutes on foot, provides direct service to SEA-TAC Airport. The area includes a grocery store next door and numerous restaurants within a few blocks. Note that the walk from the light-rail station back to the hotel is uphill. The immediate neighbourhood has visible homeless presence and open drug use, particularly on Pike Street between 3rd and 4th avenues, but the hotel uses key-card access for entry and elevators after hours.

Room types range from studios to one-bedroom suites with king or queen beds. The separate bedroom layout is practical for families or those needing a quiet workspace. Kitchens include a stove, dishwasher, and basic utensils. Some suites have a balcony overlooking a quieter side street; others face Pike Street and highway noise, which can be intrusive for light sleepers. The sofa bed is reported as thin and uncomfortable, essentially a mattress of springs - more suitable for small children. Rooms facing the courtyard tend to be quieter. Some units have a bathtub with jets. Windows in certain rooms are older, letting in cold draughts and external noise. Air conditioning has been reported as non-functional during warm weather. Some rooms have a fireplace, but temperature control can be unreliable.

Breakfast includes hot items such as eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, cold cereals, fruit, yogurt, bagels, and Starbucks coffee. The selection can be inconsistent, with occasional shortages of waffle batter or dried-out eggs. The outdoor pool and hot tub are often closed for maintenance or seasonal storage; their operational status should be confirmed before booking. The pool area is accessed through the games room but has been described as essentially abandoned with a sign noting an engineering issue. When open, the pool is small but suitable for children. BBQ facilities and outdoor furniture are available in a garden area.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service, express check-in/out, and an ATM. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. Self-service laundry is coin-operated ($2.25 wash, $2 dryer) and located on alternating floors; bring quarters as the front desk may run out. A business centre and fax/photocopying are free.
