HOSTAL ABSOLUT STAY (ADULTS ONLY), Barcelona

The hostal occupies a restored building in Barcelona's Eixample district, near Barcelona University. Plaça Universitat Metro Station is 600 metres away, and Urgell station - served by both the metro and the Aerobus airport shuttle - is even closer. Las Ramblas, the Gaudi landmarks on Passeig de Gràcia, and the Gothic Quarter are all within a 15-minute walk, making many attractions reachable on foot. The neighbourhood is safe, residential, and lively, with numerous bars, restaurants, and a Lidl supermarket within a short walk. The cruise port is about 2 km away; a taxi to the port typically costs up to €20 depending on traffic.

Rooms are bright and simply furnished, with central heating, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, and free WiFi. Some rooms have a small balcony overlooking the street, while others have windows facing an internal light shaft, so natural light is limited. Noise from adjoining rooms and the corridor is audible due to thin walls, and rooms facing the street may pick up street sounds. Bed sizes are compact; the beds are comfortable and often praised for their firmness. Shared bathroom rooms include a private sink and use a clean bathroom shared with one other unit. A €100 refundable damage deposit is required on arrival.

The hostal does not have a restaurant or offer breakfast. Each room has an electric kettle, so guests can prepare tea or coffee in their room. The surrounding Eixample streets are filled with dining choices: La Flauta (0.5 km), BrewDog Barcelona, Casa Jaime, and Argentinisimo are all within a 5-minute walk. A Lidl supermarket is also nearby for self-catering supplies.

Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and daily housekeeping is included. The building has a lift. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, a security alarm, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. No parking is available and there is no on-site luggage storage. For airport transfers, the Aerobus stops at Urgell station a short walk away. A €100 refundable deposit is required on arrival, and both check-in and check-out are handled by the small team, who communicate clearly via WhatsApp and email.
