Hostal Miami sits on Madrid's most central avenue, Gran Via, directly next to Callao Metro Station. Puerta del Sol is a 5-minute walk, placing all main attractions and shopping within easy walking distance. The metro provides direct connections to Atocha train station, the airport, and beyond. While the pedestrian location is unbeatable, parking is entirely absent, so driving is not practical. The area is dense with bars, cafés, and restaurants (many within a 3-minute walk), and the rooftop venue 44Sky on the floor above produces night-time music that can be audible in some rooms.

Rooms feature tiled floors, light wood furniture, heating, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV. Private bathrooms include a shower and hairdryer, while shared bathroom rooms use a common toilet and shower (shared with other guests). Some rooms have a balcony, but the facade renovation means the view from most windows is of scaffolding and advertising hoardings. In rooms where the bathroom is a corner within the room with a shower curtain and walls that do not reach the ceiling, privacy is limited and steam permeates the sleeping area. No air conditioning is installed; only a ceiling fan is provided, which may be insufficient in summer. Noise from Gran Via and from the on-site roof terrace (44Sky) can be audible. Several rooms face an interior lightwell, resulting in no external view.

Hostal Miami does not have a restaurant. A vending machine in the lounge provides cold drinks. Breakfast availability varies by room rate and must be checked at the time of booking. Because of the hostal's central location on Gran Via, dozens of bars, cafés, and restaurants are within a 2- to 5-minute walk, offering everything from fast food to sit-down meals. The building also contains the 44Sky rooftop bar on the 9th floor, accessible to guests.

No wellness or leisure facilities are present at Hostal Miami. There is no spa, swimming pool, or gym. The building does house the 44Sky rooftop bar on the 9th floor.
