HOSTAL ORIENTE, Madrid

Hostal Oriente sits on Plaza de Isabel II, directly in front of the Opera metro station, which provides direct connections across the city and to the airport via Atocha. The location score is 9.8. All major attractions, including the Teatro Real, Cathedral de la Almudena, and the Royal Palace with its gardens, are reachable on foot. Metro stations Sol and Opera are within 100 metres. A taxi stand is nearby. The area is lined with shops, restaurants, and cafés, and despite the central location, some courtyard-facing rooms remain quiet.

Accommodation includes double, twin, and single rooms, all with private bathrooms (marble), flat-screen satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Some rooms offer a patio or a balcony with city views, while others face a quiet courtyard. Room sizes vary; some are compact, and bathrooms can be small. Beds are generally comfortable, though a few have older mattresses. Sound insulation between rooms is limited, and corridor noise can be audible. Courtyard-facing rooms are quieter, street-facing rooms have more light but may hear traffic. Daily housekeeping maintains cleanliness. Cots are available on request.

Hostal Oriente does not have a restaurant, bar, or in-room dining. A self-service vending machine in the common area sells hot and cold drinks. Complimentary fresh fruit is available. Breakfast is not offered, but the surrounding streets contain numerous cafés, bakeries, and restaurants within a short walk, including Tapa Tapa Arenal, Viena Capellanes, and others within 0.5 km. Guests needing a morning meal can easily find options just outside the door.
