HOSTAL ZAMORA, Madrid

The property overlooks Vázquez de Mella Square in the Chueca district, known for its lively bar and restaurant scene. Most tourist sights are within walking distance, and the metro connects quickly to other parts of the city. A wide array of dining options is within a 5-minute walk, including restaurants like Steakburger Gran Vía, El Tigre, and Petit Comite. For those arriving by car, a public car park is adjacent, though no on-site parking is available. The area is safe and well-connected for exploring the city centre on foot or by public transport.

Rooms are basic and practical, best suited for travellers who plan to spend most of their time out exploring. Interior-facing rooms are quieter but may have limited light and ventilation, while rooms facing the square offer a view and a balcony but more street noise. All rooms include a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, and a safe (for a small extra charge). No iron is available. The lift and internal walls mean noise from the corridor and neighbouring rooms can be audible, especially at night. Rooms tend to be compact, making them ideal for short stays or solo travellers.

On-site leisure facilities are limited to the immediate surroundings of the Chueca district, which is one of Madrid's main nightlife areas, filled with bars, restaurants, and shops. The property overlooks a small park (Pedro Zerolo mini park) and is close to Gran Vía's entertainment options. The square provides a lively atmosphere, particularly in the evenings.

The 24-hour front desk allows for late check-in and provides a secure place to leave bags before check-in or after check-out. The lift provides access to the upper floor where the reception and rooms are located, though it has limited capacity. Daily housekeeping is included, and towels are changed daily. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and common areas. The reception can arrange a direct taxi to the airport. No parking, restaurant, spa, swimming pool, or airport shuttle service is available on site. A public car park is located next door.
