HOSTEL 7 SANTI, Florence

The hostel sits in a quieter, residential area on the outskirts of Florence, with a direct bus connection (stop at the door) to the city's main attractions. Walking to the centre takes roughly 30 minutes, but the bus is the more practical option, especially at night. The immediate vicinity has a supermarket and several restaurants, including a well-regarded gelateria, within 0.5 km. The area around the hostel can feel dark and less secure after dark, so using the bus is recommended for returning late. A church next to the property is worth a quick visit.

The hostel serves a cheap dinner buffet in the evening, which includes a variety of dishes and is a popular, social option. Breakfast is a basic continental offering with coffee, pastries and bread. A coffee house is on site, and special diet menus can be requested. The bar area, set in a pleasant outdoor garden, is a good spot for drinks and meeting other travellers. Several restaurants and a supermarket are also within a 5-minute walk.

The property offers a garden with seating where guests can relax outdoors, as well as a shared lounge with a TV for socialising or winding down. A chapel/shrine on the premises adds a unique, calm spot. There is no pool, gym, or spa on site. The bar and restaurant in the garden extend the leisure options, especially in good weather.

A 24-hour reception desk with a concierge and tour desk can help with travel arrangements. Luggage storage is free, useful for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is included, and laundry services are available for a fee. Business facilities (meeting rooms, fax/photocopying) are free to use. The property is wheelchair-accessible with a lowered sink, raised toilet, grab rails, and a lift. Security features include key-card access, a security alarm, and fire extinguishers. Pets are allowed on request with no extra fee.
