HOTEL EDEN, Florence

The hotel sits on a quiet residential street, yet is exceptionally central: the Duomo is a 10-15 minute walk, the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio are within 20 minutes on foot, and the tram stop for the airport is a few minutes away. The area is well served by restaurants, markets, and a laundry. The location is ideal for train travellers and those wanting to explore Florence on foot, offering direct access to day trips to Pisa, Siena, and beyond from the main station.

Rooms are en suite with private bathroom featuring a shower, bidet, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. The style is straightforward, with light-wood furniture and tiled or parquet floors. All rooms include air conditioning, heating, a safe, and a wardrobe. Family rooms offer flexible bedding options (double + single or three singles) and some have garden views. Street-facing rooms can be noisy in the early morning; interior rooms tend to be quieter. The hotel does not operate a restaurant or offer a paid breakfast. Each morning, a simple selection of coffee, tea, biscuits, and pastries is provided free of charge in the lobby. This is ideal for a light start before heading out. For a fuller breakfast or other meals, numerous cafes, pizzerias, and restaurants are within a 3-minute walk, including Asian, American, and Italian options.

The 24-hour front desk staff are noted for their helpfulness and can arrange luggage storage free of charge before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms clean, and towels are changed every two days. Free Wi-Fi works reliably throughout the hotel. Other services include ironing (free), fax/photocopying (for a fee), and a safety deposit box in each room. The property has a lift, is fully non-smoking, and provides key-card access and security alarms.
