HOTEL FORMIO, Paris

The metro station is right outside the door, providing direct connections to Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon (2 km walk or one station), and the city core. Luxembourg Gardens (2 km), Sainte-Chapelle (3 km), Notre Dame Cathedral (3 km), and the Louvre Museum (4 km) are all easily reachable by metro or on foot. A baker's shop, supermarket, and numerous restaurants (Asian, Indian, French) are within a three-minute walk. Paris Orly Airport is 13 km away (reachable via metro line 14), while Charles de Gaulle Airport requires a combination of RER and metro. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet at night, well-served by both metro and bus lines.

All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, toiletries, and towels; many offer a city view. Most rooms are small - single rooms are particularly compact (best suited for a short solo stay), while some double and twin rooms are more spacious. Beds in single rooms are narrow; taller guests may find them short. Some rooms lack a bedside table, and the bathroom door may block the room door when opened. Noise from the street, reception, and neighbouring rooms is common due to thin walls and heavy doors. No air conditioning or refrigerator; heating is provided in winter but can be inconsistent in some rooms. Cleanliness is generally good and daily housekeeping is provided, though occasional issues with linens or dust have been noted. Some rooms have a balcony or large windows; requesting a room on a higher floor may reduce street noise.

The hotel does not feature a gym, pool, spa, or leisure facilities. The local area does provide an ice-skating rink and boating opportunities for guests looking for activities outside the hotel. The neighbourhood itself is pleasant for walks, with the botanical gardens (Jardin des Plantes) and the Butte-aux-Cailles district within easy walking distance, offering a relaxed setting for a stroll.

The 24-hour front desk allows for hassle-free late check-in (midnight arrivals are fine) and early departures. Luggage storage is free, very helpful for exploring the city before check-in or after check-out. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and generally works well, though connectivity can occasionally be weaker on upper floors or during busy periods. Safety features include CCTV, key-card access, fire extinguishers, security alarms, and a safe deposit box in rooms. Cots are available on request. Payment is accepted by Visa, Maestro, and MasterCard. No parking is available on-site, but public bicycle parking is located in front of the hotel.
