HOTEL PAVILLON BASTILLE, Paris

The hotel is within 10 minutes' walk of the Marais and Place des Vosges, 15 minutes from Notre-Dame, and 30 minutes on foot from the Louvre. By metro, the Champs-Élysées and Latin Quarter are 20 minutes away; La Défense and Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre are under 30 minutes. Multiple bus lines serve all major train stations. The area is safe and offers many restaurants, cafés, and bars, with a nightlife scene that can be lively into the early hours.

Rooms are decorated in neutral tones and include a minibar, hairdryer, and work desk. Sizes vary: some are spacious for central Paris, while others are compact. Soundproofing is present but inconsistent - street-facing or ground-floor rooms near the reception may pick up noise from nearby clubs or the lobby. A few rooms have carpet odour. Beds and pillows are generally comfortable, and double glazing helps reduce noise in some units. Connecting rooms are available for families.

The hotel's courtyard terrace, filled with flowers and trees, is a relaxing spot for a drink, snack, or light meal. Walking tours of the Bastille and Marais areas are offered free of charge. For a small fee, guided bike tours can be arranged. The neighbourhood is very walkable, with the Seine and Canal Saint-Martin within 15 minutes. No on-site spa, gym, or pool.

The hotel provides free high-speed WiFi in all areas. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge, tour desk, private check-in/out, and safety deposit boxes. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out. The meeting room in the vaulted basement holds 15-20 people and includes a paperboard and free WiFi. Business centre, fax/photocopying, and meeting facilities are available at an extra charge. Daily housekeeping is included; laundry, dry cleaning, and ironing cost extra. The hotel is wheelchair accessible, has a lift, is entirely non-smoking, and provides 24-hour security. Babysitting and board games can be arranged.
