HOTEL LEOPOLDA, Florence

Hotel Leopolda sits in a quieter district of Florence, roughly 1.3-2 km from both the main train station (Santa Maria Novella) and the city centre. The area is safe and provides access to tram lines and buses for those who prefer not to walk the 20 minutes into the historic core. A 5-minute bus ride takes you directly to Santa Maria Novella Station, making the hotel a practical option for train travellers. The neighbourhood itself offers several local restaurants and a grocery store within a short stroll. For drivers, on-street parking is sometimes available, but the paid off-site garage at €25/day is more reliable.

Breakfast consists of a continental buffet including bread, pastries, and hot drinks, served in a dedicated breakfast room. Pre-packaged items are standard, and the selection is simple rather than extensive. The breakfast room also functions as a lounge area where hot beverages are available throughout the day. For other meals, the hotel has a bar and a coffee house on site, offering wine, champagne, and other drinks. There is no full restaurant, but the surrounding area within a 0.5 km radius provides several Italian and Peruvian dining options, including pizzerias and trattorias.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Daily housekeeping is included, and laundry services (ironing, trouser press) are available at an additional charge. The reception team can arrange museum and theatre tickets, guided tours, and concierge services. Safety deposit boxes are provided for valuables. Business facilities (fax/photocopying) are available for a fee. The property has a shared lounge with a TV, board games, a terrace, and a lift. Security features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and key access. Babysitting/child services are available for a surcharge. Luggage storage before check-in and after check-out is available, making it convenient for early arrivals or late departures. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, CartaSi, and MasterCard.
